My first week doing research on the haunted places of Corpus Christi was difficult because I wanted to find places that had enough cultural value to talk about. There's many different stories on many different places here in Corpus, but which ones would be the most interesting to talk about? I chose the U. S. S. Lexington, known endearingly as the "Blue Ghost" because of her history with the Japanese, Bill Witt Hangar because of its elusiveness and its value to the older generation of Corpus Christians that trespassed on those grounds for a good scare, the old Nueces County Courthouse which everyone in this town has heard of some freaky ghost story at some point, and the Memorial Building at Del Mar College'e East campus. My concerns were actually being able to find information on these places. I knew that that was going to be a lot of good stuff on the Lexington and the Courthouse, but not so much on the other two.
