I took this picture from waymarking.com, because the picture I took on my tablet wasn't very good and you couldn't read what it said and the sun shined in a weird way on the marker making it even harder to see. Anyway this marker is actually in front of the Old Nueces County Courthouse, which is one of the places that I chose to do my project one. This one, like the American G. I. Forum one, gives a super brief history of the building. It's really cool in my opinion that the building is still there. In Corpus no one really cares to much fort he actual history, but the courthouse is so recognizable and so many people think its haunted, it has a really strong cultural and sentimental value to it. I hear that in Austin, the building that are old aren't cared about too much and demolished (I'm guessing for space purposes), and I'm glad this one has not been torn down. It's such a nice building (architecture wise).
